COSHH assessment

With chemical manufacturing industry backgrounds, Clwyd Associates employees are experienced in developing assessments for chemicals and substances against the requirements of the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) Regulations - and this includes identifying which materials actually need assessing under this legislation.

Our COSHH assessments will not only identify significant risks associated with exposure to hazardous substances, but also identify any statutory equipment checks or any health surveillance that needs to be implemented.

Case Studies

Our customer Gablestock Animal Feeds handles a variety of grains during their manufacturing process.

We have worked with them to carry out a COSHH assessment for the grain dust employees are exposed to and to ensure they comply with the statutory Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV) inspections - both the completion and carrying out follow up actions. We have also provided briefings on the hazards of dust exposure and arranged health surveillance for relevant employees.
