HAZOP training

Clwyd Associates carries out HAZOP Leader and Team Member training regularly.

Our training is based on the material developed by S&T Consultants, originally developed by Dr Brian Tyler, and as such covers:-

- lectures on

  • the process of HAZOP
  • the skills required to prepare for, take part in and complete the actions identified during a HAZOP study
  • how human factors can be taken into account during HAZOP

- practical exercises to allow leaders and team members to practice HAZOPing

Clwyd Associates facilitates a session about the strengths and weaknesses of HAZOP at the annual Essenscia Advanced Master Class on Process Safety in Antwerp.

Case Studies

Clwyd Associates is regularly asked to facilitate HAZOP courses - many of them of behalf of professional organisations such as the Institution of Chemical Engineers.

We have been lecturing at Essenscia's annual Advanced Masterclass on Process Safety (Essenscia is the Belgian Federation for Chemistry and Life Science Industries) since 2013.
